Random name picker
Call on students fairly – and make it fun. Paste your class list on the right, press Spin, and the wheel lands on a name with a drumroll and a big reveal. Your list is saved only on this device.
Ways teachers use it
- Cold-calling fairly during discussions
- Choosing helpers, line leaders and class jobs
- Deciding who presents next
- Picking partners or team captains
- Drawing prize or raffle winners
Turn on Remove each name after it's picked so everyone gets a turn before anyone goes twice.
Questions
- Is the name picker really random?
- Yes. Each spin uses your browser's secure random number generator, and the wheel always lands on the name it picked.
- Where are my students' names stored?
- Only in this browser on this device. They're never uploaded, and they never appear in the page link.
- Can I paste names from a spreadsheet?
- Yes – paste one name per line, or a comma-separated list.
